Sapphire B650M-E: mATX motherboard with AMD AM5The Sapphire B650M-E is equipped with the B650 chipset for AMDs Ryzen processors of the 7000, 8000, and 9000 series and offers numerous features for overclockers and gamers. Since the Ryzen 7000 / 8000 / 9000 processors require a new socket due to support for PCIe 5.0 and enhanced power delivery, the Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) is used on the 600 series motherboards. Despite the increased pin count, the actual size of the socket remains identical to older sockets, meaning that most CPU coolers for Socket AM4 can also be mounted on the motherboard.
